The Parksville Community Park marks the middle of the area, which is home to a playground and water park. The beach is the site for many events, including the Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition and Kidfest.

Qualicum Beach spreads along the small town of the same name, 12 km (7.5 mi) north of Parksville. The beach is a good spot for fishing and digging for clams.
